Lubricants Dispatcher - Charlotte, NC
Job description
This position is responsible for overseeing Drivers and Warehouse staff to meet customer needs and resolve issues while ensuring the highest level of safety.
- Maintains an up-to-date listing of assigned Drivers.
- Maintains a fully visible up-to-date route sheet for each scheduled route.
- Manages Driver and Warehouse vacations schedules so that each scheduled route is appropriately covered by utilizing available relief or substitute staff.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Oversees transportation of lubricants, inventory levels, daily pricing, market movement, warehousing, deliveries, reloading with minimal downtime, and efficient route planning.
- Ensures that Drivers clock their time accurately and that any write-in time is accurately reflected on the daily report.
- Coordinates with Drivers to resolve any issues, problems, or concerns that arise during delivery.
- Performs a variety of clerical support duties as assigned.
