Ron BouwhuisNework Creative is a graphic design firm known for employing a unique mix of insight and creativity to help businesses of every size communicate effectively. Over the course of more than two decades, Nework has developed a strong track record in projects spanning a broad range of services, including visual identity, corporate and marketing communications, direct mail and print advertising. Whether the medium is paper, pixels, or something more exotic, we pride ourselves in delivering creative solutions with attention to detail that is second to none.

The balding man in the photo is me, Ron Bouwhuis, principal of Nework. My surname – pronounced “bough” + “house” – is Dutch, and roughly translates into ‘builder of houses’ which, on the face of it, is completely unrelated to graphic design. That’s not to say that I don’t strive to do solid work, however. My approach has always been to emphasize content before style in the belief that working this way results in a stronger foundation for the creativity that follows. I call it informed design, though clients might refer to it as, “Geez, he asks a lot of questions.”

For the record, all of this began in 1981 when I graduated from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, with the Board of Governors’ Medal in hand (earned, not stolen). I launched Hollander-Grafiek Inc., predecessor to Nework Creative in 1988, while Nework itself came to be in 1999. Along the way I also achieved Registered Graphic Designer (R.G.D.) status – an Ontario designation that reflects experience, expertise and a commitment to professionalism.
